JOURNAL ON THE EXPECTATIONS FROM THE COURSE AND REFLECTION TO THE TOPIC

Subject: Illustration: Drawing Concept and Strategies

   My expectations from this course are that I hope that I will learn essential things related to this subject like different drawing strategies, hand techniques in drawing both traditional and digital drawing that will improve my skills and hone my ability in drawing and also, I am hoping that I can familiarize the different or illustration terms that will sharpen my vocabulary skills related to this subject. 

         
            Furthermore, as a beginner in drawing, I am also rooting for our instructor to do his best in imparting his knowledge and share his expertise to us pertaining to this course which is truly convenient and good to us especially like me that drawing is not my forte where I have room for improvement in this matter. Moreover, I expect that our instructor in this subject or course will incorporate or integrate different learning activities that will make the class interesting and livelier which is mostly of the students prefer in order for us to visualize how does a certain thing related to drawing happen or how we will be going to do a certain task.

One Point Perspective-  One Point Perspective is a type of linear perspective that creates the illusion of depth in a work of art by using a single vanishing point.

            In addition to what I mentioned above, I also expect that I can gain knowledge about the subject where I can give use to this knowledge in my chosen profession which is teaching and I hope that this subject will help me to be better in drawing both traditional and digital where I can utilize these skills to make the teaching-learning process more effective.

           

Two Point Perspective-  A type of linear perspective that can be logically arranged into a geometric, grid-like structure. This 2pt drawing method is defined by 2 vanishing points that represent 2 convergence points and infinite distance away.

Three Point Perspective is the most complex form of perspective drawing. Three point perspective uses three sets of orthogonal lines and three vanishing points to draw each object.

            Well from the syllabus that our instructor presented a while ago that encompasses the vision and mission, the quality policy of Southern Leyte State University, the National Goal and Course Program Objectives, I hope that these will be accomplished. This can be done through the collaborative efforts of the university's faculty and staff and management as well as from the internal and external stakeholders that will cater and prioritize the needs of the students. As what the syllabus stated which will serve as the university's promissory note to their students, so we hope that these promises will be fulfilled to ensure better learning and quality education for us to be globally competitive. As a student, I will do my part to be a responsible in helping to hit the aim of our university.
