The Process of Making My Midterm Project

The Process of Making My Midterm Project

Animate includes a number of tools for creating animation and special effects. Each method gives you different options for creating engaging animated content. During our midterm class, we learned how to use Adobe Animate CC, especially its basic features and tools. So, after knowing the basic animation tools using this software and its specific functions and after several hands-on practices of creating animation using its built-in tutorial, we are expected to make our own animation by applying what we learned in our midterm lessons.

Our instructor required us to make our own animation with a one-minute range. So now I’ll be sharing with you how I make my animation. Are you ready to learn with me? Come on and have fun.

First and foremost, I created a plan on how I will create the framework of my animation which includes the theme, the process, and the storyline of the overall animation. After that, I started creating my animation by using Adobe Animate CC an ideal software for beginners like me who want to create animation, videos, and interactive content that result in stunning and frame-by-frame animations.

Then, by opening Adobe Animate, I clicked the create a new button to have a blank white stage and also, set the framerate to 30 fps to have a smooth movement of animation.

After that, I imported a video from my files as my reference and guide in creating my animation and then I clicked the file menu and chose import then it will show the different options on how you can import a video in adobe animate and I selected to embed h.264 video into the timeline that will make your footage be imported as one video file and I selected the browse so I can import my video from my files. After doing so, I clicked the next button for the next menu slide and unchecked the audio of my video, and clicked finish finally your video will be imported into my timeline.

I added a new layer for my illustration out of my imported video as my guide in creating my animation by clicking the plus (+) icon and I labeled it “MY PROJECT”. In my newly created layer, you will see a grey rectangle appearing above your footage layer and I converted it into several individual rectangles which mean each rectangle represents 1 fame. Then I started to draw my frame-by-frame drawing by using the line tool, selection tool, brush tool, and eraser tool. Coloring your drawing I used a fluid brush tool then in the properties panel, I selected the tool menu then under it I choose paint behind. I repeated this step until the last frame of my project.
